I've been thinking about my sisters lately.

This was the start of butterfly girl.

Humble beginnings.

Faces are hard. One little line can change the entire expression.

I find it easier to break things down into parts.

This is the greens/stems of the flowers.

Adding the flowers. First layer of paint.

Layers and more layers of paint. Details and shading.

Looking at resources helps paint the butterflies.

I left the face for last, of course.

Finished! Whew!!
