Quiet Hills - original

This piece was completed in plein air on the hills of the Palouse. My truck and I set up in the cemetery. I thought it would be a nice quiet spot. It was a very busy place. A few came to set flowers on graves, the cemetery crew was watering trees and digging a grave. Quite a few walkers came by to see what I was up too. An older gentleman asked if this was my first painting. My plein air confidence was already low, this did not help. This is the finished piece. 

This is an original painting on birch wood with acrylic paint. Semi-gloss varnish.
