rainbow girl - original
The heavy raindrops sometimes fell for only a short time. Other times it lasted much, much longer. The drops fell slowly and with a soft splat. She was comforted by the sound. Overtime she had learned to notice the subtle changes in the air. The dark clouds would make way for the sun, and with it rainbows. She would hold the rainbow ever so gently, knowing that it would soon slip away. That was okay, for the rainbows would return, she was certain.
