My parents live on the homestead of my great grandparents. The orchards are filled with ponds, an oasis for so many kinds of wildlife. As a child I loved to hear the song of the Red Wing Black Bird. I would marvel at how they could stay perched on the cattails as they bobbed. I can still see the sunrise over the pond and the air filled with their lovely tune and brightly colored shoulders.

Created with mixed media consisting of dictionary pages, acrylics, paper, old music, ink and love. This is a limited edition of 40 archival prints.
